What If You Don't Have to Fight Life?
We spend much of our lives trying to control what happens next. We want things to go according to our plans. When they don't, we worry, resist, struggle, and ask, “Why is this happening to me?”
DESTINED explores a different possibility: that peace may begin when we stop fighting what has already happened.
Through reflection on destiny, acceptance, inner awareness, suffering, and spiritual wisdom, the book invites you to examine your relationship with control and consider another way of meeting life.
What You'll Explore
Can we understand our lives without constantly trying to control the outcome?
Is acceptance weakness, or can it become a source of strength?
Why do we suffer when reality doesn't match our expectations?
How much control do we actually have over life's events?
What happens when we observe our thoughts rather than being controlled by them?
Can inner peace exist even when circumstances remain imperfect?
From Fighter to Dancer
FIGHTER
“Life must happen the way I want.”
↓
OBSERVER
“I can watch what is happening without immediately resisting it.”
↓
ACCEPTER
“I can allow life to be what it is.”
↓
DANCER
“I can move with life rather than constantly fighting against it.”
Perhaps the end of suffering isn't the end of life's difficulties. Perhaps it is the end of our constant resistance to them.

Why I Wrote DESTINED
I wrote DESTINED because one of the deepest questions we face is not how to control our lives, but how to live peacefully with what life brings us.
We spend enormous energy resisting what has already happened and worrying about what may happen next.
DESTINED is an invitation to look at destiny, acceptance, and suffering from another perspective.
My hope is that these pages will encourage you to pause, look within, and discover a peace that does not depend upon controlling every circumstance of life.

Engineer • Entrepreneur • Author
Rama Shanker Singh was born in India and later moved to the United States. His career has included engineering, graduate education, entrepreneurship, business leadership, and international seminar activities.
After decades of professional and personal experience, his interests increasingly turned toward questions beyond career and material achievement:
Who are we? Why do we suffer? How much control do we really have? What remains when we let go of our struggle with life?
DESTINED is his exploration of these questions.
The Wisdom of Looking Within
DESTINED reflects on ideas found in Indian spiritual wisdom and teachings associated with Ramana Maharshi, particularly self-inquiry and turning awareness inward.
The book invites readers to explore these ideas personally rather than simply accepting them intellectually.
